Creating a fun experience for my nieces every summer has turned into an opportunity to share the magic. Mermaid Camp is a new online destination for my mystical friends and family who believe in mermaids. My name is Heidi Jo, and I am your Mermaid Host.

My Greek ancestry has made me a believer. The sirens of Greek mythology inspired art and literature and many adventures. My inspiration and mermaid spirit came from the powerful women in my life. I want my nieces to embrace this same energy, and be bold, take smart risks and make waves. Share your mermaid stories, ideas and inspirations.

"Baby Mermaids" by Rebecca Joy Fugger (Bubbles)
A million grains of sand carpet the ocean's floor. That's where the baby Mermaids learn how to crawl. Stingrays sweep away the dirt and keep the sand fluffy so that baby Mermaids can play with their pet guppies. They like to chase the bubbles that come down from the sea and play in the seaweed to hide from you and me. At night they sleep in oyster beds and lay their tiny heads on soft little pearl pillows made just right for their beds. Sleep baby Mermaids, tomorrow is another day.
